As front man for the Urban Gypsies Music Group it is my sad duty to report that April 8,2024 we lost one of our greatest team members, Art King “King of Arts”.

It was Art King's talents as a songwriter, singer and performer in the R&B genre that led him to national recognition in the music industry. This King of Arts has worked with various musicians in his career, from Regina Belle and Champaign to Larry Graham and Big Country. He has also worked with Sister Sledge, Bootsy Collins, and Luther Vandross. His influences include Mozart, Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, and Luther Vandross, as well as The Beatles and T-Pain. With a powerful, attractive presence, King of Arts does things his way and provides unique, high powered and engaging music. From his soulful ballads to his driving dance songs Art King “King of Arts“, was and is a force to be reckoned with. The UGMG-C, BlackGuise Productions and MainStar Productions will be releasing Mr. King’s catalogue of music posthumously. And I guarantee they will be hits for years to come! Spotify

Producer extraordinaire Art King’s Collaborations with Ms.Goode aka L1 (Ashley Lyrical One (L1) AKA Ms Goode}, resulted in the Gypsy Hits Boyfriend and Another 24. And any of you all who saw the Gypsies live between 2016 and 2019, may have been privileged to see the King of Arts Live! Additionally, Art King is featured both as a contributing producer and one of the guitarists on the newly released Gypsy classic Jungle Groove the 6 Sick MiXXes! Our Gypsy brother will be missed but we guarantee his music will live on!!
